6 Squadron held a Guest Night at RAF Lossiemouth Officer’s Mess on Saturday 20th May 2017. The guest of honour was Mr John Robertson, the Current Master of the Mercer’s Livery Company. Also present were 7 members of the 6 Squadron Association seen here.
A number of new Squadron members were welcomed, and a few who were leaving were dined out. The CO, Wg Cdr Billy Cooper, also reviewed the Squadron’s current commitments and operational challenges. 6 Squadron contimues to perform brilliantly, in spite of being very stretched with operational commitments far and wide. This reduces the time available for peacetime training at Lossiemouth, and makes it difficult to bring new pilots up to operational readiness. The Squadron are to be congratulated on how well they rise to the challenge.
